Last Week

I have been busy and didn't get to post anything for a few days. So I have some catching up to do. I flew a three day trip which Shelly Bear(kitty) is sitting here on my paperwork and I don't really want to move her. So I will talk about today first. It was clean clothes/house day. It is cold outside and not a great day for hobbies. Might as well start cleaning and getting ready for Clarissa and the girls next week. I am excited about the visit. Mike is changing the oil on the Tacoma and I have a few minutes to write. We made a vegetarian spaghetti tonight and it was delicious.

My three day trip was a Detroit turn then to Memphis. Extremely cold and windy in Detroit. I wore one of the blankets for the walk around for fear I might freeze to death. When we departed for Memphis the front was on top of DFW. It was a very turbulent ride. At one point we hit turbulence that was so rough it took the autopilot off. Of course, I hand flew it up to smoother air. En route AA tells us to deadhead home. So we rode in the back home from Memphis and then drove to our respective homes until we picked up the Reno trip the next day. We arrived in Reno early and I worked out. We had the Pole Vaulters in town and the gym was busy with very lean/fit athletes. There was over 700 of them in our hotel. I went to dinner with Fred at a little restaurant across the road. When I was in my room Mike called and sent me on a wild goose chase looking for this burger joint that he thought was in our Hotel/Casino. It turned out to be the Nugget Hotel downtown near the Bowling Center. I threw away my per Diem (20 dollars) in the slots then went to bed. The last day was one leg home and it wasn't eventful. We watched UK beat Vandy and we went out on a date to Chinese. Sunday, we went to Church and stayed for the Soup benefit for the Puerto Rico mission trip. I am planning to go on this trip in March. Since we are laying off 175 pilots I am not sure how that is going to work on Spring Break. But I am going to try. Mike and I went bowling in the afternoon. Then we watched the end of Doll House. Which was better than the entire season. Next season is the last season and is supposed to be better than the first.
