12 inches of snow

Clarissa (my sister)and the girls were going home on Thursday morning. We woke up to snow and slow traffic while driving to the airport. We did make it in time for the Lexington flight, but as normally happens with bad weather the flight was delayed. The writing was on the wall that this was not going to be a normal day and I decided to send them on the first flight going to any city close to her. The Louisville flight was the first to board and they had plenty of room. The flight didn't take too much of a delay and they made it home around 3pm. Which turned out to be a miracle because the rest of the day became a nightmare for most travelers. The snow was falling rapidly and everyone had to be deiced. American cancelled over half of the flights after noon. They cancelled my Omaha flight and I deadheaded to Las Vegas and it took 5 hours or more to get there. The next morning we flew to Los Angeles where we spent a few hours hanging with the American Eagle people. I bought some See's candy and a card for Valentine's Day while waiting for our Eagle flight to Fresno. I worked out and then Captain Erik and I went to dinner at the Red Robin. I have one leg home tomorrow to DFW and will get to spend the weekend with Mike. DFW area had 12 inches of snow (a record) and it is beautiful. I wish I was there to see it and take pictures. This picture of our house was taken as Clarissa and I were leaving for the airport.
