Christmas Rush
Yes, I know there is no snow just yet here in Texas. This picture was taken February of last year. I love the picture and only wish we had our Christmas decorations out when we took it. I am sure the homeowners association would probably frown on that so that ends the dream of getting snow and Christmas decoration pictures in Texas.
Today we finished the last of our decorations that I plan to put out. I am trying to scale down this year because I have training starting the 14 th of this month. It's not like December is the craziest month of the year. Let's put you in the simulator and test you on every possible situation for two days starting at 5:30am. Of course they have changed so many of our memory items and procedures just to make sure the instructor can look at you as if you were a moron for not knowing all the changes that just occurred in the previous revision. And let's add the news that our company has filed for bankruptcy to the list of things to keep up with. As of late, everyone is asking me the details of something that I know nothing about.
I usually wait until the last minute to get gifts for friends and family. And this year is no exception. I also have to send some of them to Kentucky to my wonderful nieces. Shopping just really isn't my thing. Sometimes I feel like I am missing the gene that women are born with that wants them to go to a store and look at endless amounts of junk that nobody needs or wants. I did however end up in Radio Shack while my car was getting the oil changed. I saw something that made me very excited. Sprint is now selling the iphone. I had time to kill and after an hour and a half of figuring things out I came home with two new iphones.
I have been taking guitar lessons for a year. Last night at family night our group played four Christmas carols in front of our church family. It was great fun. One problem is that it required some practice much like a recital to keep from embarrassing myself out there.
Christmas cards are always a big part of our Christmas. We love to sit down and vote on our favorite picture. Find a card that reflects us and our hearts. Then send it out to around 150 of our closest friends. Very time consuming to say the least. It is an important part of our Holiday, sharing our picture with our closest friends and family.
My blog has been sitting dormant for too long. I decided to put something in there tonight even though I am swamped with Christmas and training. Just because I have a million things to do doesn't mean I don't need to write. Writing can help me relax and understand that sometimes you need to vent and then get to work. So I am signing off and getting back to studying and those other things that you just read about. Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!
