Rainy Day
Today I am home and it has been raining all day. In Kentucky, that wasn't all that uncommon. Here in Texas we don't see that much rain. Especially, in the Summer months. This year Mike and I planted a garden and the rain is quite welcome. I woke up around 9:30am to a steady rain. Mike was in the kitchen getting a drink of water. I went to get a hug to start the day. Reagan our oldest cat was inside and the two younger were out in the garage. Reagan likes to have us to herself so she can get all of the attention. I rubbed and petted her for quite some time. There was some lightening so Mike had to turn off the computers. We had some time and we played a few games of Yahtzee. We have been addicted to Yahtzee since Christmas. He plays percentages and I just do what feels right. I seem to win more often than him. But he gives me extra chances sometimes and I think that has something to do with it. I try to give him extra chances but he doesn't usually take them. The kitties like to come visit us and watch the dice roll across the table. The UPS guy rang the doorbell. That scared Reagan and she ran under the couch. We always joke about how they are coming to eat her. Mike's work sent some document. The thunderstorms slow down and it is time for Mike's conference call to start (11:00am). I go into my office and Shelly Bear follows me to see if she can be of any help. I decide to write about today in my blog. But I have little time since my neighbor Pam has asked me to come over for lunch. She is from Tennessee and is an excellent cook. I think I will get ready and go eat some good southern food. I wish you could join me.
